Yves Robert has been working as a photographer for several years, during which time he explored various aspects of photography and the darkroom. However, in May 2000, photography became a real passion and is still very much alive! His first steps in the digital world were done progressively but the darkroom was replaced as soon as he purchased his first inkjet printer.
In order to deepen his knowledge, he enrolled in September 2003 at the New York Institute of Photography (NYIP.com) where he graduated and obtained his “Certificate of Graduation” in December 2004.
At the same period, he got involved in one of the most important Francophone Camera Club in the Province of Quebec (clubapal.com) and was elected President of the Club in 2005-06. Furthermore, he actively participated in most of APAL Camera Club contests where he won several awards and honorary medals. In 2006-07, he was proclaimed ‘Photographer of the Year’.
He also exhibited on several occasions, among others at the Laval City Hall in Fall 2006 where the exposition « Architecture and Gens d’ailleurs » was held. In addition, he participates in the annual exhibition of APAL held during the Summer which is shown at the “Village des Arts” of the “Centre de la Nature de Laval”. |
